fudge failure

I like to give homemade food gifts to coworkers for the holidays.  Last year was caramels, the year before I gave peppermint chocolate.  This year, I wanted to do fudge.  I attempted peanut butter fudge with amazingly, delicious results that were brought to Adam's work Christmas party.


If I tackled peanut butter, then of course I could do layered chocolate mint.  Well, it was a disaster.


The middle minty layer didn't set and turned into a ooey gooey mess.

Perfect for eating in my Pjs on the couch.  Not so perfect for giving as a gift.

Of course I tried this at the last minute, so I had to skip a year for the homemade goodies.  FAIL.
