2009, the Year of Increasing Capital

Adam and I started dating in August of 2006.  Each New Year's we have spent together, we dig into our brains and invent a nickname for the new year that is about to begin based on our goals and resolutions.

2007:  Year of Progress (goals: progress our relationship.  duh)

We fell in love

We took our first two big vacations together, which, secretly, were really two small experiments to realize if we could put up with each other for a week straight.

Disney World

Highway 1

2008:  Year of Expanding Opportunities (Goals: Adam gets his own place, we get engaged)

European Adventure part I
London

Paris

He survived a WHOLE week at the beach with my family.  This, my dear friends, is no easy feat.  My mom even presented him with a Best Performance award, meaning, he was the only one not to get cranky, or as my brother likes to say, the only one not to get "sand in his vagina."

The Family (everyone is on their best behavior here)

Adam moved out* of his mom's house.

(No picture for this one.  Just one big sigh of relief)

We bought a ring together and he gave it to me.

2009:  Year of Growth (Goals: learn to live together, get married)

He moved into my apartment.

We became husband and wife.

European Adventure part II commenced.
In Florence

We have dubbed 2010 the Year of Increasing Capital.  We will be saving money like it's our job.  I mean, after we pay for our European Adventure part III** in January, I sign up for a quilting class, and he acquires a new guitar, it'll be save or bust.

*Dear baby Jesus, THANK YOU!  love, me.
**Amsterdam, Dusseldorf, and Brussels...or, as I equate everything with food and drink:  Beer, Sausages, and Chocolate.
